How to: Rename a file.
Solution:
Select the 'File' menu and select 'Rename'.
1) Open Windows Explorer. (The 'Windows Explorer' window appears.)
'Explorer' in 'Start' menu
2) In the left pane, double-click the drive containing the file you want to rename. (The contents of the drive appear in the right pane.)
3) If necessary, double-click the folder and/or subfolders containing the file. (The contents of the folder appear in the right pane.)
4) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Rename'.
5) Type the new name. (The existing name is automatically replaced.)
NOTE: If the file extension is displayed, make sure to include the file extension in the new name. Renaming the file does not affect a hidden file extension.
6) Press ENTER.
